Please feel free to email us if you have any questions at all, but hopefully you can find an answer here.

How do we book the yurt?

Please send us an email to debandchris@oakdeancottage.com . We can accept bank transfer or paypal payments at this time. If you prefer to go through a booking platform, the rates may differ slightly but you can find us at airbnb.com, booking.com. and pitchup.com.

Is the site suitable for small children?

We have an 8 year old and a 1 year old so have a bit of an insight here. We would advise that the site is only suitable for children over the age of 3 due to the potential fall hazard from the door and platform of the yurt. Children over this age are very welcome but we do ask that those at the younger end of the spectrum are well supervised around fire, steps, and fences.

A fire guard for the indoor woodburner can be provided on request.

Are dogs allowed?

The yurt is not suitable for dogs, sorry! This is because there is no area to clean your dog from the (very likely) mud you will encounter, which can spread very easily around the yurt living space.

Where do we park?

You will have a dedicated parking space suitable for one car inside the gate (and potentially room for one car outside the gate if pulled in well). From here there are steps up the garden towards the yurt which is around 50 meters away.

Are bedding and towels provided?

For environmental and hygiene reasons, we recommend that you bring your own bedding and towels.  Please get in touch as we can provide these for £20 (to cover professional laundering).
